I don't know whether I will ever record the whole stash. There are times when a person would prefer not to admit to other people the full sum of his or her weakness. "Know thyself" does not apply to the stash in my world.
And really - I can't imagine the time it would take to record it; time that could better be spent knitting.
I really like the future projects list. I always find things I would like to make and never note them anywhere. I think this will be a tremendously helpful function.
On the knitting front, our local guild had its first meeting of the year with Galina Alexandrovna Khmeleva as the keynote speaker.
A few members of the guild also spent a chilly Saturday morning knitting and spinning at one of the local farmers' market.
On the homefront, we need a new furnace - the new one should be installed during the beginning of October. I thought we'd be regretting the lack of heating capability when we had a cold spell last week and the temperature got down into the 30's overnight but luckily that weather did not last. We are back to mid-July-like temperatures.
In the meantime, I feel oddly deprived as I have no camera - the in-laws borrowed it for a trip. We had to give them a diagram as to which buttons to push (and more importantly, which not to push). Makes me wonder where technology will be when I'm their age - and will any grandchildren/grandnieces/grandnephews find themselves thinking that the simplest electronic toys are beyond my understanding?

I just found your blog from Jean's. I have a large stash myself, and about a year ago decided to inventory it. Turns out I have almost 400,000 yards! When I got my Ravelry invite I knew I was never going to enter all my stash, just not enough time! So I've decided that I will enter stash that is either in use, or new. I'm kinda embarrassed to know how much there is there after one month because of the later! But I find it a great place to get ideas for stash yarn - enter it in the yarn search and from its page you can see what others are doing with it!
Hi Mary! Thanks for coming to my blog! Isn't Jean a pip?
I really don't want to admit to myself how much I've got in the stash. I'm looking forward to doing searches for ideas for yarns.
Hope to see you back here.
