Radio Silence

Can you tell I'm trying to make up for my poor posting? I can't believe that, until this past weekend I hadn't posted here since November. November!

My new position is partly to blame - both for taking up time, but also for not giving me fodder for the blog. My commute is down to about 5 blocks so there is less of an opportunity for interesting photos of the countryside. I could write a book about the incidents/people I deal with at work, but there are rules that prohibit such disclosures. Suffice to say that I may be living in a rural, bucolic area, but even those areas have an unsightly underbelly of crime.

While I've been gone, there's been snow. And more snow. And then it all melts in very unseasonably warm weather. And then we get more snow. The first major storm was right before Christmas. We had nearly 2 feet of snow against our back door.

I thought we'd have to end up finding another way out of the house, but we managed to push the door open.

The one (and perhaps only) advantage to snowstorms is that one is excused for staying home and knitting the day away.
